BROOKLYN COUNTRY: A LESSON ON COLORS

BROOKLYN COUNTRY: A LESSON ON COLORS
PH-9.jpg

A few weekends ago Zac and I invited our boys, Adam and Dan, with us to roam the streets of Prospect Heights on a sunny Saturday afternoon. It's likely you can't tell, but outside it was bitterly windy that day! Neither Zac nor I had picked out what we were wearing. We often wait till our final moments of leaving the apartment to piece an outfit together. This time was no different. Although, I had in mind specific colors and textures I wanted to play with. Neutral colors: all together, they're beautiful to me. They don't seek attention, yet they stand out. Army green is one of those colors I love. So when we met up at my place, I was feeling greens and grays. And so was Zac.

One of my favorite neighborhoods to stroll through (especially when it's not terribly cold) is Prospect Heights, in Brooklyn. The neutrals that paint each building are warm and peaceful; they remind of home - the country.
