Black is one of those colors that I rarely wear. And to be honest, I try and stay away from. There are definitely some great all black outfits and great wardrobe pieces that are black, but I just don't get around to wearing that color very much...maybe it has something to do with living in the warm climate of the south. All that to say, about a month ago I got these black Florsheim Ninety-Two Oxfords. One of the things that grabbed my attention was the clay-colored sole. As we enter in to the Spring dress season, black probably won't be seen much, but I can assure you that I will be wearing these oxfords often. The clay sole and taupe stiching and laces allow for this shoe to be worn in just about every season...not just Winter. In the photographs below, I've paired them with white J.Crew denim, a small-plaid J.Crew button up and my favorite Original Penguin zip-up jacket. The layering is light and the colors coordinate with season of spring.
What are some ways you incorporate black into Spring?
